Comedians Use Live Streaming to Make Money

     The COVID-19 pandemic has closed down numerous businesses including comedy clubs across the country, leaving comedians without work. However, Uplive can be an online platform for comedians to perform and make money from home. 

Comedian Jimmy Shin recently joined Uplive and has already hosted numerous comedy shows on the platform. On April 9, Shin hosted "The Shinding Show" with his fellow comedians including Gary Robinson, Frank Castillo, Jennifer Arundale, and more. Each comedian held a short comedy set to over 1500 viewers. Each comedian received virtual gifts from the viewers (virtual gifts can be converted into cash).
